An Independent Approach
AC Machinery Services operates independently, without the overhead of a large dealership. This means faster turnaround, direct communication and a genuine focus on getting your machine back to work efficiently.
Every job is assessed individually. We'll discuss the fault, agree on a course of action and keep you informed throughout. No unnecessary work, no inflated parts margins.
Work is accepted selectively based on current capacity, ensuring every job we take on receives the time and attention it deserves.
Based in the Lothians, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. We cover the local region and nearby counties. Enquiries from further afield are welcome, though acceptance will depend on the nature and scale of the work involved.
AC Machinery Services carries full Public and Products Liability insurance up to £5,000,000. Public liability covers any third party injury or property damage arising during the course of our work. Products liability covers any claim arising from completed work after a machine has been returned to service. Frequently Asked
What areas do you cover?
We are based in the Lothians and primarily serve Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian and the Scottish Borders. Enquiries from further afield are welcome and will be considered on a case by case basis, depending on the nature and scale of the work involved.
What types of machinery do you work on?
We cover a wide range, including agricultural machinery such as tractors, combines, balers and implements, groundcare equipment including commercial and domestic cylinder and rotary mowers, compact tractors and wood chippers, and light automotive vehicles. If you are unsure whether your machine falls within our scope, please ask via the contact form.
Are you insured?
Yes. AC Machinery Services carries full Public and Products Liability insurance up to £5,000,000. Public liability covers any third party injury or property damage arising during the course of our work. Products liability covers any claim arising from completed work after a machine has been returned to service.
Do you work on site, or do machines need to be brought to you?
Both approaches are possible depending on the job. Smaller diagnostic and repair work is often best carried out on site to minimise downtime. Larger overhauls, fabrication and refurbishment are typically completed at a suitable workshop location. We will agree the best approach when assessing your enquiry.
How quickly will I hear back after submitting an enquiry?
Enquiries are reviewed manually, typically within two working days. We will respond by email to confirm whether we are able to take on the job, ask any clarifying questions, or discuss next steps. Acceptance of work depends on current capacity and the nature of the job.
Do you provide written quotes and reports?
Yes. For any non trivial job we provide a written quote covering parts, labour and estimated timescale before any work begins. Diagnostic work concludes with a written report explaining the fault, the cause and the recommended repair options. Service records are maintained for routine servicing work.
Can you source parts as well as fit them?
Yes. We source quality OEM and aftermarket parts as appropriate for the machine and the budget. Where customers wish to supply their own parts we are happy to discuss that arrangement during the initial enquiry. No inflated parts margins.
